A lot of blogs have covered this story, not sure if any have mentioned that Mattel also produced, and refused to recall, the doll with audio that proclaims “Islam is the light”. Now, from Dailymail.co.uk:
Wearing the traditional Islamic dress, the iconic doll is going undercover for a charity auction in connection with Sotheby’s for Save The Children.
The money will go towards the Rewrite the Future campaign which helps millions of children around the world effected by conflict.
Makers Mattel are backing the exhibition which is the work of Italian designer Eliana Lorena.
Muslims already have halal Fulla, the Muslim version of Barbie, because the real Barbie is haram.
“She’s honest, loving and caring, and she respects her father and mother.”
And if she doesn’t, Fulla would likely become an honor killing victim. How long until Mattel officially starts producing Burka Barbie?
