She’s BAAAAAAACK! … Hillary that is
It’s the Hill we all know and love from the campaign. Upstaged by Bill, with Obama and Biden out there on the road, doing her job, the last straw was in Kinshasha today when some hapless Congolese university student asked her, “What Mr. Clinton think, through the mouth of Mrs. Clinton …” CBS has the vid. She looks around, a little stunned, then commences operations on Joe College, with big scary eyes. Money quote follows:
“Wait, you want me to tell you what my husband thinks? My husband is not secretary of state, I am.”
AP has the story, how she’s been out of circulation, plus the history of this “complicated couple.” OK, rest of the quote:
“If you want my opinion, I will tell you my opinion. I am not going to be channeling my husband.”
Sigh … remember the spring of 2008, when it was all about the eye-gouging? The appointment of Hill as Secretary of State was actually a hopeful development, though as long as she limits herself to eviscerating college kids, she’ll never amount to anything. You know, I always thought the Valkyrie would make a heck of a War Czar.
UPDATE: ABC’s Jake Tapper reports a State Department official claims the student later went up to Hillary and said he was misquoted. That’s right, go ahead an ruin a good story with facts! That’s if the student actually was misquoted, and if he actually went up and made that claim. No claims that Hill didn’t pull a nutty when asked what her husband’s opinion was, however.
